The recommender should first obtain a list of the qualifications of the Candidate and forward this information to the Chairman of the Screening Committee in the State where the Candidate resides. Following the Screening Committees approval a Royal Order Petition can then be completed by the applicant and this too is forwarded to the Chairman of the Screening Committee for his final approval, together with the required fees. The chairman of the Screening Committees can be found HERE and are listed on the back of the Annual Letter to the Membership which sets forth the date and place of the Special and Annual Meetings of the Provincial Grand Lodge. After the Committees final approval the Petitions are then forwarded to the Provincial Grand Secretary, P.O. Box 11, Charleroi, PA, 15022. The National Officers also review each Petition to make certain that the candidate meets the necessary requirements for membership and a vote will be taken at the next Special or Annual Meeting. The Provincial Grand Lodge Meets between three(3) and five (5) times annually throughout the United States and Puerto Rico and the candidate should decide where he wishes to receive the degrees and must make advance reservations for the Banquet for he and his lady or guest. It is very important that this procedure be followed so that we can confirm the number attending the banquet with the Hotel. If the candidate requires overnight accomodations he may call the Hotel making mention of The Meeting of the Royal Order of Scotland so he can receive a favorable rate. <BGSOUND SRC="http://www.yorkrite.com/bp/RAKES.MID"> UPDATED 7 June 2008 @ 11:00 AM
