REGIONAL DISTRICT MEETINGS - SCHOOL OF INSTRUCTION
The Grand Presiding Officers for 2016 - 2017 have scheduled three "Regional" District Meetings/Schools of Instruction. The schedule is as follows:
9:00 AM SATURDAY APRIL 16, 2016 - EILZABETH CITY, 216 S. Hughes Blvd.
9:00 AM SATURDAY MAY 14, 2016 - NORTH WILKESBORO, 203 Temple Street
9:00 AM SATURDAY JUNE 4, 2016 - FAYETTEVILLE, 2860 Village Drive
We will start the morning at 9:00 A.M. with coffee and donuts and then go into our meeting at 10:00 A.M. Our theme for this year is Sojourning (known as a temporary stay) and how it relates to our short time on earth. The Host body will open followed by a few comments on Sojourning by Russell Rainear. Isaac Eddins will speak on the history of the Council. Each body will then be asked to give a brief summary of what they are doing in their bodies to advance the mission of the York Rite. We will adjourn for lunch at 12 noon at the host lodge. We hope to serve a good meal, and the cost per person will be $ 15.00. We will convene at 1:00 P.M. with the School of Instruction with each body participating in ritual work which will be assigned in advance. We have worked very hard to make it as interesting as possible for the time allowed. We will adjourn at 3:30 P.M.
In order to have a successful year and work toward our mission of increasing our fraternity, we ask that all Dias officers please attend the regional meetings. Participation is key to our success this year.
