    Chief Adept's Message 2007
Fratres of the Rose and Cross wheresoever dispersed,
Once again I am pleased to bring you the warmest of Fraternal greetings from the Fratres of Connecticut College, MSRICF.
Last summer, with the help of our Webmaster Dan Pushee, we added our web page to those of other colleges to share with you news and information from the Nutmeg State, and a year later, it is now time to share with you all a summary of our recent activities, excerpted from my third annual report to my Fratres.
Not to mix organizations or missions, but I recall a most recent Grand Commander of CT who was obsessed with going "Back to our Future" and to borrow a page from his book, well, we have done exactly that in our CT College. This last year marks a completion of one small goal and solid beginnings toward another - we completed for the first time in recent history anyway, a full cycle of degrees started in 2005, and have done a lot of other things together, which have only shown us how vast the universe of knowledge and understanding that still awaits to be explored.
Looking back over some of our accomplishments,
Our attendance has grown to a steady majority with all our newer members regular contributors to the meetings and degree work. Opening ceremonies are now reaching a proficient level.
We completed walk-thru's of the Second Order Degrees, Adeptus Minor, Major and Exemptus, and now have available to us the full mosaic of Masonic Rosicrucianism, though we still don't understand very much of it yet. On the fun side, there still remain some props to be engineered for some degrees.
We have reached a consensus for expansion - not because we need the members or money per se, but because we need to share this experience with more CT Masons and fold their talent in with ours. The recent purchase by the East Hartford York Rite Bodies of the York Masons Hall where we presently meet will be an asset in this development, and plans for expansion are under development in parallel with a similar initiative in Nathan Hale Council No. 78, Allied Masonic Degrees.
We are blessed with a lively forum for papers that continue to broaden our perspective, as our newer Fraters brave topics of deep interest to us as men and Masons, and often modern in their approach. As an example, I invite you to peruse the paper in .pdf format, [ CLICK HERE ], accompanying this message authored by Fr. William F. Lott, VII, our newly elected Exponent, titled "Masonry in Second Life" which I'm sure you will find intriguing. Any comments or questions are welcome and can be directed to BiffGarfield@aol.com whose significance will be clear after you read the paper.
And in order that all our active Fratres may expand their knowledge of the degrees, our officers are now in a rotation of roles (see Officers and Committees for 2007).
With all this, the year ahead promises to be even more exciting as we build on and expand the things we have already experienced, and explore still more Holy mysteries, guided by our faith, and under the all seeing eye of our Blessed Lord and Savior. So if you ever plan to be in CT, look us up !
    Fraternally,
    Fr. William L. Miller, IX
    Chief Adept, CT College
