HARRIS COUNCIL ROYAL AND SELECT MASTER MASONS
 Instituted October 3, 1917
JUNE NOTICE
The Council will open at 7:00 P.M. June 2, 2011 for the purpose of conducting a business meeting and will vote on two applications.
Companions,
As our year draws to a close, I would like to thank you for the support you have provided to Harris Council and your fellow Companions over the past year. We are looking forward to candidates who are currently working through their Chapter degrees with plans to start the Council Degrees in the fall. By the time you receive this communication, we will have had our Council of Instruction in Worcester on May 21st. Thanks to those who were able to attend and assist in the degree work. This COI was on the Select Master degree so the training will help prepare us for the fall.
Have a great summer and we look forward to seeing you in September.
Fraternally,
William F. Galloway, IM.
The proper address for all communications is: YR Bodies Fitchburg, 16 Thorndike Street, Fitchburg, Massachusetts, 01420, or YRFitchburg@aol.com
Thursday, June 2, 2011, is the date for the last meeting of the season and then darkness settles in until Thursday, September 1, 2011. Please plan on attending and participating.
Of course the emailing system is working wonder$ for all of us and you. Please sign up at GRACMA.org downloads.
I have proposed a change in the Council By-Laws to increase dues to a standard two and one half the rate of Grand Council and will only be elevated by increases of the Grand Council rate. In justification there-of, I point to the costs of mail-outs alone. One half of the dues moneys now received is used for the United States Postal Service. That does not include lodge rental fees, insurance fees on equipment, supplies, copying, etc.. This will elevate the dues to $38.50. Small change for the companionship and insurance for continuity of the Council in the Fitchburg area.
In July there will be a mailout for dues of both bodies. Please remit as we are in need of funds. To all the lifers and those of Charter Status, please find it in your heart to make a small contribution.
Thank you very much. The Recorder will be in the lodge by 6:30 P.M. to conduct business. We will try to remember cream and sugar!
Fraternally, Jon M. Bowdoin and John Bataitis, Recorder(s) Pro tem
