Richard B. Bensenberg took his final walk to play in the snow with his beloved dog, Tanner, on Monday, Jan. 21, 2008. He leaves behind, but not forgotten, his wife and best friend, Diane. He is lovingly survived by his daughter, Margo; granddaughter, Courtney; daughter, Cindy (Randy); grandchildren, Emily, Kasey, Nicholas, and Natalie; son, Tim; and
granddaughter, Meagon. He is also survived by his sister, Marjorie. Dick honorably served in the Marines, and was very proud to have been raised a Master Mason in November 1967, in Moline, Ill. He served in many capacities in various Masonic orders and lastly presently serving as The Most Excellence Grand High Priest for the state of Wisconsin. Dick passionately supported the Boy Scouts for more than 50 years and was awarded the Silver
Beaver.
Funeral services will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, with Pastor Bill Kapp officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at which time a Masonic Service will be held.
Cremation burial with military rites will be in the National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a Masonic charity of the donor's choice or to the Boy Scouts.
